I have looked at the major brands, (White, Garrett, Tesoro) plus stuff from stores such as Radio Shack and Cabelas. I want one with a removable battery/control pack so I can put it on my belt and headphones. Not searching for anything specific, like gold or silver, just want a metal detector that is well made for general searches.
