   UMMMMM Which Maryville area? UMM..like what state?

   Check places that people would have went in the pre-50’s. Ghost towns, old trails, beaches, etc. The more people that visited the site the more likely you are to find something.

   if you mean the Marysville area of California
   try the area east of you around Camptonville, Allegheny, and all the stream areas as this was one of the best mining areas of Calif
   there were many small mining camps along all the rivers and streams coming out of the mountains
   also the dredge areas between the mountains and marysville there are the sites of little towns that the dredge workers lived in.
