Does real gold or does fake gold make a metal detector go off?

As long as its metal it should make the metal detector go off. Real gold definitely makes it go off. Gold plated but different metal inside makes them go off. Only gold-colored plastic does not make the metal detector go off.

A metal detector detects anything, so long as there is metal in it.

Well gold wouldnt go off in a metal detector because its not metal. Its gold. The fake “gold” would go off depending on what its made out of. usually fake gold is just metal with gold color painted on it

real gold being a metal if large enough should make the metal detector go off, if its fake it depends if its made out of some kind of metal or not

My dad metal detects – and yes it will go off. Even things like bottle caps make a detector go off. Coins, rings, necklaces.. everything.
