Well if its in your suitcase then it won’t cause they don’t check for coins in there, but if you mean going threw security it would matter cause you can just hand them to a TSA member while you go threw and tell them that its important

You’ll be asked to put your suitcase through a belt, which goes through x-ray screening. The coins will show up on the security computer, but they will not stop you. If they are your pockets however, the screen you walk through may be set off, and you’d have to undergo a more detailed screening.
